Wuyi Rock Tea Dahongpao belongs to the category of oolong tea and is considered the representative of Wuyi Rock Tea. It has long been acclaimed as the "King of Tea" because of its unique natural environment and the meticulous care and exquisite craftsmanship of tea farmers, which give Dahongpao its exceptional quality and remarkable medicinal properties.

After brewed in boiling water, the tea liquor of Dahongpao turns bright orange and emits a rich fragrance reminiscent of orchid blossoms. The aroma is both intense and long-lasting.

Legend has it that due to the unique landscape of Mount Wuyi in Fujian Province, where Dahongpao tea trees grow on steep cliffs, it was impossible for people to climb and pluck the tea leaves. In response, a tea farmer trained a monkey, which turned out to be remarkably intelligent. After training, the monkey could understand human language and was capable of harvesting tea leaves. The tea farmer dressed the monkey in red and sent it up the cliffs to pluck the tea leaves, thus earning the name "Dahongpao", which translates to "Big Red Robe".
